Is BITS a fake conference?

This is a public service announcement in response to years of spam from the various BIT and BITS conferences.  Like SCI, the BITS Congress is a venue that appears to accept submissions from anyone willing to pay.  The magazine "The Scientist" calls out these conferences as suspicious at best and fake at worst.   This conference is often called the BIT or BITS Annual International Conference in China.

Please don't submit to academically fake conferences.  Especially not the BIT or BITS series.  If you were fooled into submitting to a fake conference, right your wrong by writing about your mistake on a blog.  Promise not to make the mistake again.

This is a public service announcement.  I encourage you to link to this blog post with "Are BIT conferences fake?" to  help the world be a better place by increasing awareness of academic scams.
